Welcome to ASAC: Working toward an addiction-free community through prevention.

The ASAC directors and staff believe that alcohol, substance abuse and other addictions are preventable.

 

  
Our Goals -  
  • Prevent substance abuse by all ages
  • Present a clear "no use" message to youth
  • Delay the age of first use
  • Prevent abuse of one substance from leading to the abuse of other substances
  • Recognize prevention as relevant throughout life -- from youth to elder years
  • Integrate relapse prevention into both treatment and prevention strategies
 

We believe prevention is the most cost-effective element in the continuum of addiction services.
